Self-Certification is a simple recertification option that allows you to renew your existing SCRUMstudy certifications without taking a recertification exam.
To self-certify, you must confirm that you have completed at least 40 hours of Scrum-related study during the past three years, provide a brief description of your learning activities, and pay the applicable self-certification fee.

How Self-Certification Works
Log In to the VMEdu/SCRUMstudy Student Portal
Use your registered VMEdu/SCRUMstudy email address and password to log in.
Go to My Certificates
After logging in, navigate to My Certificates. For certifications that require recertification, you will see a Self-Certification button. Click the button to continue.
Complete the Self-Certification Form
Confirm that you have completed at least 40 hours of Scrum-related study within the past three years.
- Enter details of the 40+ hours of self-study you completed within the past three years.
- Select the checkbox confirming: "I hereby self-certify that the above information is true and correct."
- Enter your payment and billing details.
- Click Pay to continue.
Complete the Payment
Review your payment details and complete the transaction.
Your Certifications Are Renewed
Once the Self-Certification process is successfully completed, your existing SCRUMstudy certifications will be renewed for three years in accordance with SCRUMstudy's recertification policy.
